This is a great book. It follows the life of an african girl in the mid 1700's by slave traders. It's very well written and very interesting and has great stories....good and bad.
This book was talked about at the Homer Bkclub and there was this sort of taboo w/it among the girls, so of course I had to get it and find out what the fuss was about. I loved it. The taboo comes because the storyline is of two married people of the opposite sex that become bestfriends but being the only unmarried girl in the bunch, it was just a story to me and i thought it was good. I love Shannon Hale as an author and she did good w/this one too. It has alot of LDS lingo in it which was fun to read in a book!!!
well.....this book was a bust. Had a good concept...3 angels come to earth to live as humans while trying to combat evil in the town they're living in and of course the youngest angel falls for a boy and chaos ensues. I skipped through alot due to the amount of boring and unnecessary talking this author does. It was 496 pgs. but it really couldve been told in half that. I didnt like it!!
This I didnt read this month, but have in the past. The reason I'm talking about it now, is this is a 9 book series(with several offshoot books) that my mother got me involved with and so it was something that we talked, shared and cried about. A few months ago I asked my dad for them since they meant so much to the both of us and 2 wks ago, I got them in the mail. It means so much to have this series and even more that these were her books. They are great reads and are very near to my heart.

I watched this after reading the books. It was just as good as the book and if you liked the book then it's a good version to watch.
Tuck Everlasting-TV
I saw this one years ago and it's a cute story. A family that accidentally drank out of the fountain of youth and the boy falls in love w/ a very sheltered girl and of course someone is after them and knows their secret so they are broken apart. It was fun to watch it again.
I've always wanted to see this one and I found it on tv so I got the pg13 version. It has Cate Blanchett and Tommy Lee Jones and Jenna Boyd. Indians take the daughter of the Mother and her estranged father who lives like an indian helps her to try and get her back. It was pretty good.
SOOOOOO adorable!!! What a great movie. The voice of Steve Carrell and Miranda Cosgrove and alot of others. It was very well done and I enjoyed the whole movie. I added it to my to buy list.
I own this one, but not on dvd yet(dont ask me why) but I love this movie. TOWANDA!!!!! This is just a great movie and must be experienced. Dont know if I should say much about it. But it has great acting, great storyline, and just a great movie. LOVE IT!!!!

This is a favorite of mine. Stars Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd. Good old fashioned boy meets girl, but he has a girlfriend and due to a misunderstanding, ends up traveling w/girl to correct the situation and ends up falling for her. It's a good quirky love comedy.
Havent seen this one before and I loved it. Shirley Mclaine, Julia Stiles, Alessandro Nivola. It was a good movie. Good acting and I really got into the story. It made me laugh and cry. It's a must see.
Another one of BBC must have movies. I actually own this now due to my wonderful niece who parted w/hers. This is of course from a book and I first saw this movie in 08' and then read the book and love both of them. Such great actors and very funny lines and sayings thru out the whole movie.
If you notice, there are no instant play movies I've watched. That is due to a certain boy who lives in my house and was watching his own tv series and so hogged the xbox. Oh well, i guess since it is his........

This is a series that came out in 94'. I think it's Claire Danes first real thing to do. It has Bess Armstrong, Tom Irwin, Jared Leto. Its a teenage angst show. There are family issues, high school issues, boy issues, and love from afar issues. I remember watching some of it when it first came out. or maybe in reruns but it was fun watching it again. It only lasted one season and they ended it in a bad spot. I wanted to know what happened next...argh.

This is a new show on ABC and is the fashionable police,medical crime show. It's ok so far. Dana Delaney's character is good. I like that they have her in dresses and looking feminine. Not too sure about the plots yet. Seems like tv is grasping for the shock value on these shows, that the endings on this show have been people that really shouldve just controlled their feelings a bit more.
